I've been reading Octavia Butler's Parable of the Sower, and Parable of the Talents.
And her fictional philosphy/religion Earthseed is pretty interesting. Apparently it spawned a real group called Solseed. |

When I am tyrant, I will not kill those who oppose me. Instead I will upload them into a virtual world. This virtual world will only be occupied by those with identical belief groupings. Based on the real world to the greatest possible extent, With realistic physics and accurate simulations to support it, it will be reality plus whatever insanity they can collectively agree on.
- Creationists can get their biblical end of the world, complete with an active and vindicitive god, whose personality comes from the old testament.
- Racists and Sexists can get their world without whatever they don't like, and all of the consequences of that.
- Fascists will get their perfect dictator,And so on
This will be a source of new reality TV shows, revealing the pitfalls of failing to deal with realities. |

We are moving the last Saturday of June, that's the 30th, starting at about 10:30 in the morning. Though we are also aiming to do a single load of boxes and the like the night before on the 29th of June. We are hoping to get the keys this week, and to be able to do some light preliminary moving up until then if

Oh, sure, I'm wrong all the time.
No this isn't sarcasm.
I reacted emotionally in the middle of a conflict, that happens to everyone.
I apologize, or at least I try to when I recognize them, if my incidents of being wrong cause discomfort or displeasure to anyone, and or everyone, at any point in time.
While I do my best to minimize being wrong, it is a known side effect, which occurs at least occasionally in 100% of humans studied. The only known treatment for mistakes is 10mg of critical feedback, coupled with a dose of acceptance of error, to get it down. |
